I consider the previous comments regarding these boots totally inappropriate. From day one, for me these have been the most comfortable, hard wearing quality pair of boots I have ever owned. They didn't require any "breaking-in", have coped with all weathers and look to last for a long time to come. Suggest the steel toe-cap boot fan should have spoken to Bracher about their problems before giving totally unwarranted feedback on here. Their experience seems to be a one-off from what I and all the many other Bracher users I know have experienced.

these boots WERE NOT made for walking
too small , too hard , too cold , too uncomfortable and too expensive !!! if you are a size 11 you will need a size 13 in this boot!! they are too tight with one pair of thin socks , never mind 2 pair of warm socks . they are made for the tinyest skinnyest dainty little feet !! and so hard and uncomfortable that by the time you have walked 300 yards they will have took all the skin off your toes and heel !! 9 to 15 miles is impossible in this boot !! i have actually owned more comfortable NCB external steel toe cap pit boots in the early 80's . for the money they cost , it makes more sense to buy 3 pairs of cheap brand walking boots which are waterproof with soft cushioned soles . they will wear out 3 times quicker ,
but they will be 3 times more comfortable , 3 times warmer , 3 times cheaper , take 3 times less skin off your feet , you will be able to walk 33 times further and it will make your long walks 333 times more pleasurable . best to buy 3 x
