The upper part of the shoe utilises ultra-light and highly breathable, fast drying mesh that keeps the runners' feet comfortable and fresh during intense workouts. Its special design makes it perfect for tempo workouts, 5 and 10k racing or the efficient runner's half marathon. The shoe also offers so called zero-pitch (doesn't have a heel lift) to reduce ground connection time thereby helping to improve training results. In addition, the shoe utilises 100% recycled laces, box and packaging to help protect the environment.

Great innovative racing shoe but very expensive
Newton make great shoes for more natural running but without being overly minimalist. Their ART technology really does seem to work and I find myself going marginally faster in these shoes than my minimalist types but not enough to warrant the expense - they are virtually twice the price of The New Balance Minimus road shoe which is almost as good and actually feels better to run in. They are still a great race shoe in their own right but it does take some time to get used to the lugs in the forefoot and they won't last any longer than a traditional race shoe. I probably won't be buying a second pair but only because of the pricing.

Single use shoe
This shoe feels great at first but has very poor durability. Mine fell apart after 20 miles or so. Got a replacement pair and the same thing happened.

Newton need to work on their quality control if they are to be considered a serious manufacturer.
