Comfortable but not even slightly water proof
Bought these as year round shoes for the commute to work. Realised how dry the first half of the year had been when caught in some serious rain in June and was suprised that my feet were soaked. They look sturdy enough but the "leather" is perforated and lets the water in. Have now bought some goretex jobbies for the winter and have used my mesh light weight shoes rain or shine this summer - your feet get wet but at least they dry quickly! Sealskinz socks are probably the answer.
